Lester W. Cooley

October 15, 1956 - March 31, 2022

Lester W. Cooley, 65, of White City, KS passed away on March 31, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan KS from his medical issues. He made his home in White City KS with his wife Karen Cooley for 21 years. Lester was a machinist and drilling rig worker before starting his career as an electrician. Lester worked for various companies before his medical retirement in August 2016 from Faith Technologies.

During his career he and Karen traveled around the United States for his work and lived in many states. He was a hard worker and did everything to the best of his ability. In his spare time, Lester was an avid fisherman and hunter. His favorite thing in the world was to throw a line with a lure, bobber, liver or worm in the water. He enjoyed hunting rabbits, squirrels, turkey and deer. He was a devoted family man who dearly loved his children, grand children and great grand children along with cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family. They blended their families and made a wonderful life together.

Lester is survived by his wife Karen of the home, daughters Missy (Frank) Blakley, Mandy (Cory) Metsker, sons Brandon (Jaclyn) Cooley, Joe (Heather) Cooley and Robert (Brandy) Bartron along with 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Lester is also survived by his mother Marilyn, sister Charlotte (Malcom) and a host of friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Edward Cooley. He will be greatly missed and always loved.

A memorial service will be held on May 7^th in the fellowship hall of the United Methodist Church, 204 W. Mackenzie Street White City, KS 66872 from 1-4pm.
