Barbara Jeanne (Lange) Boland

 

Barbara Jeanne (Lange) Boland passed away at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS on 9/15/2024 surrounded by family. Barbara was born 1/23/1959 to Glenn Lange and Bernice (Lange) Todd. She spent most of her childhood tagging along with her dad, step-mom Ruth Lange, and older siblings to all of their school activities. She graduated from Mission Valley High School in 1977 and had a daughter in 1978; Misty (Lange) Kuntz; Damon, Rylee and Dylan

 

She married Steven Boland in 1982 and they had two Daughters; Shawna (Boland) Johnson-1982; Wayne, Gage, Drake, Kaydence, Ayden and Liam; and Megan Boland-1985; Darius, Mahalya, Jayden and Gracie. She also has two great-granddaughters Londyn and Egypt. She lived in Topeka most of her life with brief residencies in Washington state and Iola, KS while working as a CMA for 20+ years.

 

She will be missed by her seven siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by both parents and her longtime partner John Boeken.

Barb’s celebration of life service will be at the Dover Federated Church Fellowship Hall October 5th, 2024 at 11:00 AM. The family asks that any memorial contributions be made in Barb’s name to Midland Hospice house in Topeka.
