Catherine (Cathy) Cervantez

January 22, 1963 – January 10, 2025

Catherine (Cathy) Cervantez was born on January 22, 1963, Passed Away in her home January 10, 2025. Cathy was born in Topeka, as the youngest of six children born to Frank and Amelia “Molly” (Valdivia) Cervantez, who has proceeded her in death.

She attended first-eighth grade at Our Lady of Guadlupe School. She graduated from Hayden High School. She has her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washburn University of Topeka. She worked at Kansas Children's Service Legue for several years in the Juvenile Intake. She loved working with juveniles to help them get their lives back on track. She was always very caring and understanding.

Cathy devoted her life to taking care of her elderly parents Frank and Amelia “Molly” Cervantez for many years.

She will be missed dearly and always remembered for the kind soul that she had.

Survivors include Sisters; Mary A Luna, Carol Cervantez and her Brothers; Christopher (Janelle) Cervantez, Richard P. (Cynthia) Cervantez, and Paul A. (Margie) Cervantez of Topeka; as well as 15 Nieces and Nephews: Kevin, Christine, Anthony, Valerie, AJ, Blake, Collin, Matalyn, Andrea, Brian, Matthew, Aaron, Victoria, Jessica, and Glen JR. And 22 Great- Nieces and Great- Nephews.

Cathy will lie in state with her Mom, Amelia (Molly), from 4-8pm and a Rosery at 6pm on January 23, 2025 at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

A mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated with her Mom Amelia (Molly), at 11AM on Friday January 24, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadlupe Catholic Church.
