Born in Akron Iowa to Claude and Delores Stickney on September 1, 1941
Chuck got married at the young age of 16 to Jacqueline Lee Perera. Around the age of 18 him and his wife moved to San Gabriel California where he did a variety of different jobs and eventually went to work for Alcoa, an aluminum product company. They proceeded to have 3 children in San Gabriel California. Two sons and a daughter, Jeff, Terri and Mike. In the early 70’s they then moved to Colorado where Chuck went to work for General Iron company as a supervisor. From there he started his own cleaning business, South Suburban Maintenance and held other odd and end jobs. He met Marlys and they were married on March 22, 1986. He then eventually went to work for RTD and retired from there in 2008. Chuck and Marlys lived in Englewood Colorado until 2025 when they decided to move to Topeka Kansas.
Chuck was one who loved to travel, fish, being around family, and a strong love for ice cream….32 scoops to be exact in Branson, MO. If it wasn’t going for ice cream it was going to Dennys with his friends or family. He just loved to eat out and be surrounded by people he loved. Chuck had very strong faith in God and loved attending church and church activities, even choir. He had a very strong friendship with Pastor James Naron and his wife Ann. He lived a very long and fulfilling life surrounded by loved ones and always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed.
Chuck is survived by, his wife Marlys Stickney. His children, Jeff Stickney and wife Lycia Stickney, Terri Stickney, Mike Stickney and wife Denice Stickney,Sean Sharp and wife Terra Sharp, Jason Sharp and wife Jeanelle Sharp. He was a proud grandpa to 9 grandchildren, Travis Stickney, Trenton Stickney, Dalton Stickney, Eli Stickney, James Sharp, Morgan Sharp, Charlee Sharp, Connor Sharp, and Hazel Sharp and 7 great grandchildren. Although Chuck was an only child he considered Ken and Sheryl Webber as his brother and sister.
