Darlene Marie Barba

FEBRUARY 28, 1967 - MARCH 11, 2025

Darlene Marie Barba passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on March 11, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. Darlene was born on February 28, 1967 to George and Wilma Coates in Bangor, Maine. She was proceeded in death by both parents, her sister Donna Gagnon and brother Doug Thayer. She is survived by her husband John, sister Debra Bessine, John’s daughter Michelle (Daniel) and grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, special brother-in-law Tom Gagnon, and special friend Vicki St. Thomas. She met her husband John in 2012 and they were married in 2016. Among Darlene’s many loves were NASCAR racing and NFL football. Darlene had a fearless spirit, was not afraid to tackle anything and had a general zest for life. She brought a smile to every face she encountered. Darlene will be dearly missed in this world. Per her wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made any cancer organization.
