Donna Mounkes-Jones

Donna Mounkes Jones (Bush), of Topeka, passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born December 6, 1951, in Lawrence, Kansas, raised by Calvin and Dorothy Mounkes (nee Sattler), and graduated from Topeka West High School. Donna helped her father and mother run Westboro Service Station in Topeka for many years. She was then employed at Casey’s General Store in Silver Lake, Kansas.

She is survived by her sister, Yvonne Mounkes, and her three children: Cody Bush of Colorado Springs, Trisha Jones of Topeka, and Nicholas Jones, along with his wife, Rachel, of Council Grove. She has three grandchildren: Shaffee Carr, Jacy Jones, and Viviana Jones, and three great-grandchildren: Shaffee Carr Jr., Kashtyn Schmitter, and Kapri Schmitter.

Her parents, Calvin and Dorothy, and brother Calvin Mounkes Jr., preceded her in death.

Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and sitting outside on the patio or deck, talking and laughing.
