Glenn Franklin Bowman
October 4, 1949-April 28, 2024

Glenn Franklin Bowman was born to Gilbert and Norma Bowman in Abilene, Kansas on October
4, 1949. He passed from this life on April 28, 2024, in the presence of family. As a teenager,
Glenn enjoyed fishing, cars, spending time with family out on the farm, and working with his
father. He graduated Solomon High School 1967 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. After his
stent in the Marines, he lived in California, Washington State, Colorado, North Dakota, and
eventually moved back to Kansas.

He married Tammy Idler in Sterling, Colorado on December 20, 1980. He worked in
manufacturing and was a Seed Analyst in Colorado and North Dakota, respectively. While there,
he greatly enjoyed fishing and making his own fly-lures. He deeply loved his family, being very
protective of them, including furry family members Bubba the chihuahua and Snickers the cat.
He enjoyed reading western novels and nature shows on television, tending to the lawn,
working on mowers and bikes, and sharpening mower blades for others in the neighborhood.

Survivors include his wife Tammy, daughters Brandy Glensky of California, Stacey (Scott)
Hardwick of Ankeny, Iowa, Amanda (John) Blessing of Wamego, and son Ryan Bowman
(Stephanie) of Fargo, ND, sister Joyce Miles of Junction City, brothers Dennis Bowman of
Lindsborg, KS, Karl Stultz of Marysville, KS, Walt Stultz of Abilene, and three grandchildren,
Elizabeth, Emily, and Gia. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Murl, and sister
LaDonna Bunkers.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for the loving care they provided for Glenn and
the family in their time of need. A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a
later time.
