Kemper E Seltmann

January 4, 1934 ~ August 30, 2026

Kemper E Seltmann, 92, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026. He was born on January 4, 1934, in Nekoma, Kansas, to Andy and Rosa Seltmann.

Kemper proudly served his country when he joined the United States Army in 1954, where he served as a helicopter mechanic. Following a helicopter accident, he was honorably discharged.

In December 1956, Kemper married Sandra Legg. They later divorced and had two daughters, Penny and Sonda.

In July 1975, Kemper married Regina Bailey. Together, they shared more than five decades of marriage and welcomed their daughter, Teia.

Kemper worked for NuWa campers in Chanute, Kansas for more than 20 years. He took pride in his work and in the many years he dedicated to his career.

Kemper will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Regina Seltmann, of the home; daughter Teia Seltmann; grandsons Steven Seltmann, Logan Seltmann Perkins, and Justin Perkins.

He is also survived by daughter Penny (Duane) Evans of Kansas City; grandson Andy (Jolene) Evans of Kansas City; great-granddaughters Adalay and Leela Evans; Brandy (Scott) Wilson of Topeka, Kansas; and great-granddaughter Kayla Wilson of Seattle, Washington.

He is also survived by Christine (David) Tait of Chanute, Kansas; grandchildren Devin Tait, Austin Tait, Kyler Tait, and McKenna Tait.

He is also survived by his sister Barbara (Peter) Resz of Supply, North Carolina. along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kemper was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Rosa Seltmann; his brother, James Seltman; his infant daughter, Sonda Seltmann; and his son, Christopher Gerardy.

Kemper will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, honorable veteran, and dedicated worker. His steady presence, generous spirit, and deep love for his family touched everyone who knew him.

His legacy will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in their hearts forever.

Rest in peace, Kemper. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
