He is survived by ex-wives Birgit Liljestrom, (Germany) and Luann Liljestrom, and four children, Lois, Ricky, Kevin JR, and Rebecca, all of Lawrence. One sister Kay Larson, Utah, nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Gail Johnston, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul, and Susan Liljestrom and father-in-law, Albert J. Miller, who’s guidance, prayers and unconditional love led him to a belief in Christ the last weeks of his life.
Kevin served in the US Army until being honorably discharged in the early 80’s. He was a mechanic as well as an excellent carpenter and an avid storyteller. A favorite story told was about his grandmother and the bear. His ability to spin a creative tale was unrivaled.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services are scheduled for 7 PM on June 15, 2021, at Word of Life Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson.
The family wishes to thank Elara Caring and The Legacy on 10th Ave in Topeka for their care and support during this difficult time.
