Leila (Lee) Marie Nelson

Leila (Lee) Marie Nelson passed away peacefully at her home on Friday December 6th.

Lee was born on July 17, 1932 to Ralph and Clarice (Buchanan) Arnold in Wakarusa, KS.

She was one of 4 children and the only daughter. She grew up on her parents dairy farm. Growing up, she helped break horses, hunted with her brothers, played the piano in church, sewed her own clothes. She loved spending time with her family, and adding to her beloved living room jungle(various plants and ceramic animals and people). 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 older brothers, Lyman (Jim) and Dallas Arnold, her husband, Robert, grandson Cody, and great-grandson, Patrick.

She is survived by her 7 children, 

William(Sherri) Griggs, Yvonne(Rick) Knowland, Michael Griggs, Wayne Nelson, Steve(Robin) Nelson, Kimberly(Kurtis) Lindensmith, and Tanya(Pat) Nelson, and her younger brother, Lloyd(MaryKay) Arnold.

She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 13 great-great- grandchildren 

A celebration of her life will be held in the spring.
