LeRoy D. Wools

LeRoy D. Wools, 80, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away at his home  October 3rd, 2026. 

LeRoy was born in Topeka, Kansas, on April 3, 1946, to Loren Wools Sr. and Agnes Wools. He married the love of his life, Donna Whitten, on March 16, 1965. Together, they shared many wonderful years of marriage, creating a life filled with family, travel, camping, and countless cherished memories.

LeRoy worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 35 years before retiring in 2001. He was also a proud member of the Topeka Corvette Club. He and Donna enjoyed taking trips with the Corvette Club and spending time on the road together. Camping and traveling with Donna, and his family, were among his favorite things, and those adventures created many special memories that his family will treasure.

LeRoy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, and his son, Jeffery Wools.

He is survived by his sister, Cindy Kenyon; his children, Curtis (Tori) Wools and Lisa Simmons; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

LeRoy will be remembered and deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

Per LeRoy’s request, a private family burial will be held at Auburn Cemetery.
