Marvin L. Tibbs Jr., 63, died January 1, 2022 at his home in Topeka, KS.
Mr. Tibbs was born December 6, 1958, in Topeka, KS to Marvin Sr. and Opal Tibbs. Both preceded him in death.
He attended Seaman High School. After high school, he went on to work in maintenance for several apartment complexes in the Topeka area. He married his love, Robin, on May 27th, 1977.
He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and friends, telling wonderful stories and crazy jokes, and of course watching his beloved KU play on TV. He just overall really enjoyed making people laugh.
Mr. Tibbs is survived by his wife, Robin, of 44 years; 2 sons, Marvin III (Tiffany) and Paul (Sonya); 2 grandchildren, Caleb and Collin; 5 sisters, Pat (Gary) Shoemaker, Helen (Steven) Allensworth, Lois (Bob) Dornbrook, Debbie (Tim) Gorton, Cindy (Alan) Holle; his brother, John (Lori) Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Marvin’s life will be held Sunday January 23rd, 2022 at Shawnee Lake Shelter House #6 11:30-1:30.
