Born on November 7, 1940, in Fairfax, Missouri, Paul was the son of David and Nellie Foster.
Paul dedicated many years of his life as a Union sheet metal worker and welder, a profession he carried out with skill and dedication. Outside of work, Paul found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping in his younger years. Those who knew him well might fondly recall him with a Budweiser in hand and hanging out at The Den after work. Later in life he enjoyed his regular Tuesday and Friday night card games in Meriden and Perry. Paul was also known for being a bit bossy and stubborn.Characteristics that was a part of his unique charm, and perhaps even more famously, for sporting the shortest cut-off jeans while camping Unconventionally, he loved to celebrate Christmas in July with his close camping friends/family Sherry and RRR Rich Richardson, Debbie and Charlie Davis finding joy in the spirit of the holiday without the fuss of the actual December date. A true fan of NASCAR races, Paul often drove like he was on the track himself, riding with him was not for the faint of heart! Paul was also a big fan of westerns and could be found watching them at the highest volume possible at home.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, David and Nellie Foster; his beloved wife, Patricia Foster, who passed away on November 30, 2019; and his infant daughter, Sherry Foster, who passed away shortly after her birth on December 29, 1961.
