Pedro Gonzalez III
April 04, 1961 - January 28, 2022
Pedro Gonzalez III passed away on January 28th, in his home at the age of 60 after a 2 year battle with Kidney Cancer. Pedro was born April 4th 1961 in El Paso Texas to Susana and Pedro Gonzalez Jr.
Pedro joined the Army December 27th 1979 where he became an expert in Hand Grenades and a Marksman with a rifle. Pedro worked in Security for a lot of his life, helping out at his father’s Upholstery shop when needed.
Pedro married Vickie LaComb on February 24th 1987. They remained married for 20 years. At the time they married, they had a son Pedro Gonzalez IV who was 1 years old. A daughter, Melissa was born 6 months after they married. Pedro and Vickie moved to Kansas in 1993 to raise their kids. Pedro was a volunteer Police Officer for years in Carbondale KS. Pedro also worked at Goodyear for many years before leaving for health issues.
Pedro loved to read, collect knives, loved dragons and wolves. He also collected Zippo lighters. He is proceeded in death by a sister, Gloria and his father. Survivors include Vickie his ex wife of Topeka (Stuart), son Pedro and his wife Melissa, 3 grandkids (Kaelynn, Ayden and Lucy), his daughter Melissa Gonzalez (Steve) and 2 grandsons, Bryce and Oliver and a sister in law Denise (Don).
A private celebration of Pedro's life will be celebrated by his family in the near future. After that celebration, his ashes will be sent to California where he will be laid to rest with his dad in Landers California.
