Robert (Bob) D. Farley

Robert (Bob) D. Farley 74 of Topeka, KS passed away peacefully at his home with his wife by his side on 7 January 2022. Bob was born on 25 March 1947 in Princeton, West Virginia to the late Trenton Farley and Louise Orris.
He attended various schools in West Virginia and Virginia and graduated from Hampton High School. After graduation he served 22 1/2 years in the United States Army completing two tours in Vietnam. He earned his Associates Degree from Central Texas College while stationed at Fort Riley Kansas. He retired from Fort Riley on 1 December 1989. After leaving the Army Bob held jobs in heating and air conditioning and a meat packing plant. He was a lifetime member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Association, the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Bob enjoyed spending time with friends and family, going fishing, going to auctions, and traveling. He also enjoyed history which lead to his stamp collecting, post card collecting, and coin collecting. Bob was a member of the Topeka Stamp Club and Topeka Coin Club. He was an avid Patriots football and Tom Brady fan.
Bob married Debra G. Farley on 16 October 1982 in Hampton, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Debra, siblings Ruby Ann Blackburn (Julian) of Virginia, Mary Bessette of Virginia, James Farley (Irene) of West Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A heartfelt thanks to Interim Health Care of Topeka for the loving support and care provided to Bob in their weekly visits. He looked forward to those visits and the care he received was excellent.
