Sharon (Shay) K. Kill
Sharon (Shay) K. Kill, a passionate motorcyclist and talented vocalist, passed away peacefully on August 10th 2024 at the age of 66. Born on October 24th 1957, Sharon lived a life full of adventure, love, and music that touched the hearts of many.
From her high school days, Sharon had a deep love for motorcycles, quickly purchasing her first bike and riding for almost 50 years. Her adventurous spirit and zest for life were evident in every journey she took on two wheels, forming friendships and creating unforgettable memories along the way.
Sharon was also known for her extraordinary singing talent. Throughout her life, she lent her voice to many weddings and funerals across the state, providing comfort and joy through her heartfelt performances. A beloved figure in the Topeka community, she earned the affectionate title of "Karaoke Queen," captivating audiences with her powerful voice and charisma. Notably, her talent led her to audition for “The Voice,” where she impressively made it into the top 80 out of hundreds of contestants—a testament to her dedication and skill.
Above all, Sharon cherished her friends and family. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and offer support to those she loved. Her generosity and compassion were hallmarks of her character, and she left behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her Wife, Kathy; Children, Eric and Tiffany Underwood of Jackson, Mississippi, Sarah and Nick Bunker of Southern Illinois, Zachary Underwood and Sarah Heck of Topeka, Kansas; Sisters, Carol Hallowell of Emporia, Kansas, and Sandy Rumford of Moline, Kansas, Nephews Darrell Hallowell of Basehor, Kansas, David Hallowell of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Connie Falley of Sherman, Texas; and her beloved grandchildren Star, Emma, Scarlett, Kayden, Haley, Kimberly, Sarena, and Michael, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Helen Kill; her brother, Bob Kill; her brother-in-law, Joe Hallowell; and her granddaughter, Skyler Rain Bunker.
Sharon's vibrant spirit, laughter, and music will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

We had a lot of good times together. There's only one Shay. I will remember you always as someone who held a chunk of my heart. You were a great friend. I love you and miss you.

I have so many fond memories of Shay. She had a kind heart and an amazing voice. I loved hearing her do Karaoke. She sang at my wedding reception. You will be missed!
