Steven Casper Desch
Steven Casper Desch, 71, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on May 22, 2025, after a battle with cancer.
Born on July 30, 1953, in Topeka, Steven was the child of Casey and Nadean (Coker) Desch. He graduated from Jefferson West High School in Meriden, Kansas. Steven had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent much of his life hunting and fishing. He enjoyed trap shooting with close friends and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Jayhawks.
He is remembered as a loving parent, sibling, and friend. Steven is survived by his son, Steven Desch; sisters Barbara Doud, Susan Bartley, and Michelle Schmidt; and brother Michael Desch, all of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A small service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Meriden Cemetery Chapel at 12:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of life and light lunch at the Meriden VFW Post 10815 from 1 to 4 p.m.
