Donna Grace Petri (Shreves)

Donna Grace Petri (Shreves) passed away at Rossville Health and Rehab on February 3, 2021.  She is survived by her husband, Allen Petri; daughter, Erica (Bill) Riley, 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her sister, Rosalie , and her brothers,  Kenneth Shreves , and Gordon Shreves. 

Donna was born in Council Bluffs, IA on February 23, 1940 to Roy and Vesta Shreves.  Donna attended college at Lincoln Bible Institute where she met Allen Petri.  They were married January 11, 1963 in Green Bay , WI and lived there until 1967, when they moved to be closer to her brother Gordon  and his family.   Both Donna and Allen retired from USD 501 after working for a number of years. 

Donna leaves behind a legacy of music and a passion for reading.  She played piano in several churches and touched numerous lives with her music.  Donna will be remembered for her contagious laugh that brought joy to many family gatherings. 

 A Celebration of Donna's life is to be held 10:30 February 27th at First Baptist Church , Silver Lake, Ks.
