Edward Leon huffman

Edward Leon huffman passed away Monday, December 1st 2025.Leon was born Feb 8th, 1950 in Judsonia Arkansas. 

Leon was a self employed concrete contractor serving Topeka and surrounding areas for 40 plus years where he taught many the concrete trade .He loved the Kansas City Chiefs  and  was the ultimate host ,always opening his home for football parties where all were welcome. Leon had a immense love for dogs, often bringing home strays while spoiling his own.He had a real passion for household projects as there were always projects going on at home. Leon had a serious sweet tooth especially ice cream and cupcakes. He was always telling everyone stories often with a twinkle in his eye. Leon loved to trick people and  was very ornery, always ready with a playful prank.He passed away peacfully surrounded  by family. 

A celebration of life will be held on January 25th 2026 at The Lecompton Community building- 333 Elmore St. Lecompton, Ks from 1 p.m to 5 p.m .

Leon is survived by his wife Barb Huffman. Sons- Chad Huffman,Dustin Huffman(Nicole) Darren Huffman, Daughters- Lacy Huffman (Elvia) Brandy Rivas, Bailey Kipper(bonus kid). Grand children Melody Moon,  Dylan Huffman, Tyler Huffman,  Callie Huffman, Blake huffman,  Brynn Huffman. Sisters-Alice Lamphear, Leatrice Huffman, Dorothy(Jeannie) Powers and Nona Huffman.Leon is proceeded in death by his father Edward Huffman Sr. Mother Thelma Huffman, Sisters- Debbie Millard, Nellie Swaim, Lillian(Liddie)Huffman, and brother Joe Huffman . He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
