Joel Wegele

Joel Wegele, 62, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in Topeka. He was born on April 19, 1964, in Scott City, Kansas, to John and Jeanette Wegele, who preceded him in death.

Joel was a hardworking and dedicated land surveyor who took pride in his work and the people he worked alongside. He was also a member of his surveying club and valued the friendships and connections he made through his profession.

Outside of work, Joel loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, and being out in nature. These activities brought him happiness and gave him many opportunities to make lasting memories with the people he cared about.

Joel is survived by his son, Cody Wegele, and his brother, John Wegele. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jeanette Wegele.

Joel will be remembered for the life he lived, the work he dedicated himself to, his love of the outdoors, and the memories he created with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
