August 22, 1959 – December 12, 2024
LaDonna Dee Linken, 65, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully in her home on
December 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her passing marked the end
of a life filled with deep love and devotion to those around her.
Born on August 22, 1959, in Clyde, Kansas, to Edgar and Lillie “Irene” Lapaille, LaDonna grew
up in Clyde, where she attended Clyde High School. She later attended college, furthering
her education and setting an example for her children about the importance of learning.
LaDonna's roots in Clyde and her upbringing shaped her values for life, compassion, and
family loyalty.
LaDonna’s greatest love was always her family, which she cherished deeply.
She was a loving mother to three sons: Cody L. (McCulley) Meyer of Amarillo, Texas; Jody L.
(McCulley) Meyer and wife Jessica of Williston, Florida; and Blake Linken of Topeka, Kansas.
She was also a proud grandmother to Braylin F. Linken, Tanner Linken, Michael Murrey,
Kaylee Meyer, Alexis Meyer, and Trenten Meyer. In addition to her children and
grandchildren, LaDonna is survived by two brothers, Michael and Terri Lapaille of Topeka,
Kansas, and Larry Lapaille of Portis, Kansas; three sisters, Nancy LaValley of Wakarusa,
Kansas, Kristie Haug of Portis, Kansas, and Rosemary Craig of Jewell, Kansas. She is also
survived by several nieces and nephews, who were blessed to know her warmth and
generosity.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Lillie “Irene” Lapaille, and
her sister, Mariette L. Lamb. She was also predeceased by her grandparents, Frank and
Velma Purcell of Jewell, Kansas.
LaDonna’s life was a testament to selflessness. She often gave of herself, even
when she had little left to give, and always made her loved ones feel special and supported.
Her kindness knew no bounds, and her spirit of giving will remain a cherished legacy for all who knew her.
