Larry D. Johnson
December 11, 1939 - November 23, 2022
Larry D. Johnson, 82, passed away on November 23, 2022, at Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. Larry was born to Laurence and Marie (Faulkner) Johnson on December 11, 1939 at Marysville, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law, Shirley Johnson, and many other friends and family. Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Patricia (Hays) Johnson, four sons from previous marriage, Chris Johnson, Curtis (Leigh Ann) Johnson, Kelvin (Paula) Johnson, all of Topeka, Kenneth (Bertie) Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona, and three stepchildren, Jim (Jill) Toy, and Stan (Lori) King, all of Topeka, and Deana (Jeff) Hutchinson of Knights Landing, California, as well as many grandchildren.
Larry spent his career working in movie theaters and retail stores as assistant managers. He enjoyed playing cards and board games, watching TV and being friends with Grumpy Cat.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, 7433 SW 29th Street, Topeka, Kansas. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, with services to follow at 10:00 AM.
