Paul William Nitcher

Paul William Nitcher, longtime Topeka resident, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the age of 84. Paul was born August 25,1942 to Herbert and Elizabeth Nitcher in Topeka, KS. Paul’s family lived in several small southeast Kansas communities while he was a young boy, but he was meant to live in Topeka. After his high school graduation, he moved back to Topeka where he started his own successful business–Paul’s Window Cleaning.

Topeka is also where he met and married Patricia Clark. Married for 64 years, they had two sons; Troy and Bryan. “The Boys” were Paul’s pride and joy. He loved his roles of husband, father and Papa! Paul and Patty loved to travel to Destin, FL where they enjoyed spending time watching the dolphins and walking along the beach. Shooting hoops in the driveway, a good plate of food and a nice fishing hole were also some of Paul’s favorites. Paul also loved his church where he provided janitorial services for more than 40 years. He also served as an Elder and song leader for many years. His love for others was great and he will be greatly missed.

Paul is survived by his wife Patty, sons Troy (Louise) of Wichita, Bryan (Leigh) of Lone Jack, MO, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a sister Maxine Gates (Larry) of Caney, KS. Paul was preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 1 sister.
