Robert Earl Troupe, Sr

July 11, 1929 - November 10, 2021

Robert Earl Troupe Senior, 92, Topeka, went home to be with Our Lord on November 10, 2021.  He was born July 11, 1929, to William and Josephine Troupe in Emporia, Kansas.  Robert attended Washburn University and served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, receiving many medals.  Robert was one of the last Soldiers to leave Vietnam when the United States decided to withdrawal the troops.  He worked for the VA Hospital in Topeka, Kansas from which he retired.

Robert was a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church, Topeka, Kansas and was a Volunteer for various organizations throughout the community.

Robert was married to his first wife, Kathryn Troupe (they were divorced) and to this union was born two sons Robert Jr. and Kenneth Troupe.  Surviving are son Robert Jr. (Topeka, Ks) and Grandchildren Robert Troupe III and Kimeya Atkinson, (Great Grandchildren Sunny, Ty, Amy, Haley, Edgar, Koi, Alonzo and Sho’n) all of Atlanta, Georgia.

Son Kenneth (wife Naomi) of Richmond, VA, Grandchildren Dion Sr., Kenneth Jr., Kasey and Kimberly, Great Grandchildren Dion Jr., Devonte Jr., Kenneth III, Kendrick and Dion, (Great-Great Grandchildren Yanna, Laila and Malaylah all of Topeka, Kansas.

Robert was married to his second wife, Hazel Troupe (they were divorced) and to this union was born a daughter, Sandy Troupe.  Surviving are Daughter Sandy Velez (husband Michael) Hopkinsville, Ky, Granddaughter Summer Gerami (husband Randall) Houston, Tx (one Great Granddaughter) and Granddaughter Amber Mosch of Hopkinsville, Ky.

Robert married his third wife, Phyllis (PJ) Troupe on September 23, 1994, and Surviving to this union was 4 added bonus children Carmen Jackson, Topeka, Ks, Stephanie Jones, San Antonio, Tx, Alfreda Wheeler (husband Steven) Dallas, Tx and Shawn Whitmore Sr., Kansas City, Ks.; 9 Bonus Grandchildren, 15 Bonus Great Grandchildren and 2 Bonus Great-Great Grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother William, sister Marlene, his wife Kathryn Troupe and his wife Phyllis Troupe.
