Roland “Ronnie” Lee Beckwith

February 16, 1943 – November 17, 2021

Roland “Ronnie” Lee Beckwith, 78, passed away at 11:00 on Wednesday November 17, 2021 surrounded by his family at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.  Ronnie was born in Topeka, KS on February 16, 1943 to the late Roland Arthur Beckwith and Nellie May Cisilini.

Although Ronnie did not finish high school, he always insisted that everyone should work hard in school and do their very best so they can better than him.  Ronnie is what many might call a “Jack of all trades, master of none”.  The second verse to that quote is what describes Ronnie best, which is “though often times better than a master of one”.   Meaning although Ronnie didn’t obtain a certification or specialty of any kind, he worked hard and did the very best he could to provide a roof, food, and clothing for his family.  

The fourth of seven siblings he is survived by his wife and best friend of over 50 years Sharon Louise Mullinicks Beckwith Topeka, brother Paul Dean Beckwith Topeka, sisters Linda Faye Rafferty and Nellie Rose Miller Topeka , Kevin E. Rawlings (Son/Son-in-law) Topeka, eight children Rhonda J. (Rex) Wilson Oklahoma, Annette J. Kunst (Jaime Kamke) Topeka, Richard K. (Vivian) Hutches Florida, Pablo (Lucia) Camarillo Mexico, Ronnie N. Beckwith Wisconsin, Steve R. (Paige) Camarillo Texas, Staci L. (Robert) Wilson Florida, Tina L. Beckwith Topeka, and a total of 34 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.

Ronnie was preceded in death by brothers Richard Arthur Beckwith, Robert “Bobby” Angelo Beckwith, sister Betty Lou Holly, and daughters Anglita Ann Rawlings and Betty Ann Ragsdale Beckwith.

Cremation is planned, no memorial services will be held. Ronnie’s life will be celebrated at the Golden Corral Topeka, KS this Tuesday November 23^rd, 2021 from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
