Remembering Sheila Marion Millette

Sheila Marion Millette, 61, of Holton, Kansas, passed away on Saturday morning, July 19, 2025. Sheila was born on June 14, 1964 in Germany, to Timothy Millette (a Vietnam veteran) and Gisela Laskowski, and grew up in California and Nevada before making her way to Kansas in 2004.

Sheila was known for her candid nature and love of the outdoors and gardening. She had a knack for making people laugh and never hesitated to speak her mind.

She leaves behind her partner, Louis Hartman of Kansas; her brothers, Mark Millette (Christie) and Frank Millette (Andrea), both of California; and her children: Josh Denison (Debbie) of Nevada, Levi Haugen, Taylor Haugen, and Garrett Haugen, all of California, and Amanda Whalen of New York. She was a beloved aunt to nieces Valerie Millette, Trisha Dominguez, and Tawney Castle, and nephews Justin Millette and Logan Millette; and had many first cousins, including Dave Millette, Melanee Ellis, and Rick Anunson. Friends like Rachel Mullican Tezanos will also miss her.

Sheila was preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis and Marjorie Millette; her parents, Timothy Millette and Gisela Laskowski; her stepmother, Judith Millette; and her uncles and aunt: David, Dennis, Fred, and Frank Millette, and Cindy Anunson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, from 11am – 1pm at the Whiting Community Building, 608 5 th St. Whiting, KS.
