Carol Lynn Wike (Jackson)

Carol Lynn Wike (Jackson), 66, of Topeka, KS, passed away at home on August 30, 2026, surrounded by the deep love of her husband and children. She fought a courageous battle with lung cancer, facing her illness with the same strength, grit, and grace that defined her entire life.

Born July 30, 1960, Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and a proud school bus driver for 27 years, treating every child she drove as someone truly special. She anchored her own family, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of unconditional love and unity.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lois Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Phil Wike; her children, Judd (Donna) Prettyman, Jordan Byers, and Jenna Wike; and her seven grandchildren, one great grandbaby with two more on the way. Carol loved all of her grandchildren deeply, holding anespecially close bond with her youngest grandchild, Nora. She is also survived by her seven siblings, among a large extended family who will all miss her dearly.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.at the Auburn Civic Center, 1020 N Washington St, Auburn, KS 66402. Please come and go as you feel necessary as this is not a formal service.
