Bobby Eugene Beers

July 23, 1935 - December 11, 2019

Bobby Eugene Beers, Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away December 11, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. Born July 23, 1935, in Lawrence, Kansas, and christened at the Lawrence Free Methodist Church, August 11, 1935, Bob was a retired master cabinetmaker, an avid KU basketball fan, and a proud U.S. Marine Corp. veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Agnes Beers, brothers Alvin and Harold, and sister Donna Talley. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Leona Laughlin Beers, daughter Sheryl Beers-Kasper and daughter-in-law Debra, daughter Beverly Beers and son-in-law Rocky Slaymaker, brother Wes Beers, and his 16 nieces and nephews, 27 great nieces and  nephews, and 35 great, great nieces and nephews, as well as his 4 Brazilian exchange daughters and their families. Memorial services, flanked by American Legion Post 153 Honor Guard, will be at the First Christian Church of Olathe on January 18 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Bobby Beers Memorial at ESB
