Charlene Carol Bowin Persinger

December 24, 1943 - March 11, 2020

Charlene Carol Bowin Persinger left this world on March 11, 2020. She was born in Pittsburg Kansas on December 24, 1943 spent most of her life in Osage City Kansas.  There she raised two daughters and a son.  

She spent most of her days feeding the community who resided at Peterson’s Nursing Home as she was the head dietician.  She retired from there on December 31, 2013.

Charlene was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles & Inez (Bowin) Dugger, her sister, Zona Kaye McKenzie, and her loving husband, Ronald V. Persinger.  

Charlene spent the last of her days in Topeka, Kansas with her son and his family.  There she was able to enjoy some of her favorite things…dogs and nature!  

She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Chris) Tomson of Manhattan, Ks., daughter Cheryl Wright of Topeka, Ks., and son, Todd (Traci) VanSchaick also of Topeka, Ks.  Charlene is also survived by her ten grandchildren and her five great grandchildren; various states.  

The date of the Memorial will be Wednesday March 18^th at 11 A.M. in Lyndon, Ks. at the Salt Creek Lighthouse Assembly of God, address is 211 Topeka Ave. Lyndon, Ks. 66451. Memorial contributions can also be made to the Salt Creek Lighthouse Assembly of God in Charlene’s name.
