Mary Margarett (Allen) Jobes
DECEMBER 12, 1957 - JUNE 15, 2026
Mary Margarett (Allen) Jobes, 68, of Topeka, died June 15, 2026, at Stormont Vail Hospital. She was born December 12, 1957 in Leavenworth. She was the 16th child of Walter E Allen and Beatrice L (McCaully) Allen.
On May 13, 1980 Mary married Homer "Buzz" Jobes in Leavenworth, Ks. Together they tackled everything life brought their way, including raising two children, Melissa Jobes Hodges and Spencer Allen. Throughout the late years of Buzz's life she devoted most of her time to caring for him through many health challenges until his passing in late 2020.
Mary spent the majority of her career devoted to the sanitation and cleanliness of various apartment complexes and hospitality facilities until her own health slowed her down from not doing more than caring for her husband and grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Thomas Allen Sr, Walter Jr., Heremiah, Patricia, William, Mary Catherine, Robert, Kenneth, James, Richard, Terrence, David, and John (Jack) of whom she was the closest.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Jobes Hodges, son, Spencer Allen, 10 grandchildren; Alexis, Christopher "Bubba", Aaron, Adysson, Azra, Ashton, Makenzie, Carter, Cooper, and Rachel, five great-grandchildren; Martavion, Montavion, Ma'Kiya, Maziyon, C'Mani, Cameron, two siblings; Beatrice "Sis" and Charles.
There will be services held JULY 12TH 5:30PM TO 10:30PM
