Kevin Richard Moriarty, passed away at University of Kansas St. Francis Campus on March 14, 2021 in Topeka, Kansas.

Kevin was born on September 13, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas to Parents Richard and Irma (Petesch) Moriarty both preceded him in Death. Kevin was married in May 1978 to Carol Ann (Stewart) Moriarty she preceded him in Death on January 2014.  

Survivors include his wife Teresa J (Flowers) Moriarty Married on April 2018. Brothers Patrick Moriarty and Dennis Moriarty.

Kevin and Carol had four children:

Melissa Ann (Steve) Efrano,  Littleton Co.

Melanie Dawn Moriarty, Overbrook Ks.

Emily Faye (Deon) Christophe, Grand Pairie Tx.

Eric Richard Moriarty, Topeka, Ks. 

And their children gave them Nine Beautiful Grandchildren that they loved with all their heart.

Austin and Andrew Langley 

Tai, Mikaela, Pryce and Annistyn Christophe 

Along many nieces and nephews that loved him and he loved them back. 

He was also loved by Aunts and Uncles and some of the best of friends.

Lyndzi Renae Nicole Algarin, 37, of Auburn Kansas, passed away on March 14, 2021 after a long battle with liver disease.

Lyndzi was born April 10, 1983 to Terry Algarin in Topeka, KS. She attended Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, KS, Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS and Washburn University in Topeka, KS. She worked for The Eye Doctors, Hawkins Optical, Topeka Steakhouse, Ogden Publications, Propane Central and Pittsburg Univ.

 Lyndzi is preceded in death by her loving grandmother Esther M. Algarin, great grandmother Pearl Smith and Aunt Virginia Smith.

 She is survived by her loving son Jayzin Algarin of Auburn, Kansas, Mother Terry L Price of Port Charlotte, Florida, Brother Jeremy Algarin of Topeka, Kansas, Grandfather Ray Algarin of Auburn, Kansas, Aunt Kelly Algarin of Auburn, Kansas, Aunt Cherylene Algarin of Port Charlotte, Florida, Cousins Alex and David, Alina, Layla and Lee Ard of Topeka, Kansas, Niece Summer Gardner of Topeka, Kansas, Nephew Jace Algarin of Topeka, Kansas and many more relatives in the Smith Family.

Zachary Brumbaugh, age 51, passed away March 5, 2021 at home.  He was born December 28, 1969 in North Baltimore, OH to Mary Ann Brumbaugh Sullivan.  She preceded him in death.
 
Zachary worked as a Mechanical Insulator for several small businesses around Topeka for most of his career.  He was an avid K-State Fan and loved cooking and grilling.  Zachary never knew a stranger and instantly made friends with just about anybody.  You never had a bad time when he was around.
 
Zachary married Janel Failer on April 8, 2017 in Perry, KS.  She survives along with his children and step-children;  Skylar Brumbaugh of Chillicothe, MO, Adrian Schlicker, Lacey & Charlotte Fisher-Hurd all of Topeka, KS, Clara Mowder of Meriden, KS, Lindsey and Westin Hurd of Rossville, KS.  In addition he leaves behind his siblings Dallas, Karis, and Matthew Sullivan all of Topeka, KS; as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and his beloved cat Piper Girl.
 
Zachary desired to be cremated.  A celebration of life will be held in his honor on March 19, 2021 at 6 pm at Lake Shawnee Shelter House #3, 3616 SE Memory Point, Topeka, KS 66609.

Susan Kay Bestwick

November 02, 1947 - March 06, 2021

Susan Kay Bestwick, 73, formerly of Sabetha, KS, passed away unexpectedly at Stormont-Vail Health in Topeka, KS, on March 6, 2021. She was born to Neil and Eunice (Bougher) Bestwick on November 2, 1947, in Sabetha, KS. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Sabetha High School in 1966.

Susan was known for her positive, cheerful attitude, and compassion for others. She worked for many years as a certified nurse and medication aide at the Apostolic Christian Home and Lakeside Terrace. Over the years she also worked at Casey’s, Country Mart, and the former Rock Creek Hotel.

She loved animals and always had a loyal companion by her side. Susan spent numerous hours gardening and tending to her flower beds. She loved researching her family history and would look at old photos for hours. Although Alzheimer’s robbed her memory for the past several years, she still knew her family and continued to enjoy life.

Kenneth Robert Hahn

November 24, 1981 - February 25, 2021

Kenneth passed away on Feb 25,2021. He was born on Nov 24,1981 in Topeka, son to Mark Craig Hahn and Pamela Vanover (Stonebraker). 
 
Kenneth worked various jobs in the mason industry. He liked to watch sports, play games, and visit with family and friends.
 
Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents Robert and Darlene Stonebraker, and grandparents Gene and Joanne Hahn. Survivors are his father, brothers Mark J Hahn and Jarrod Luke Hahn. 
 
There will be a Celebration of Life BBQ for family and friends on Sat March 6, starting at 5pm, located at 1204 NW Eugene St, Topeka. You are welcome to bring a side dish, but it is not required. Anyone who knew Kenneth is welcome to attend. 
Leonard Craig Steinbock

Leonard Craig Steinbock

April 12, 1957 - February 28, 2021

Leonard Craig Steinbock passed away peacefully Sunday, February 28, 2021.  He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Miller) Steinbock, his step-son Brian Miller, brother Gary Steinbock and sister Nancy Clark (David), Mark Ferretti (brother in law) and Marcia Steinbock (sister in law).   He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews that always considered him their favorite uncle.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Gloria Steinbock, his sister Darla Ferretti and his brother Mark Steinbock.

Craig attended Topeka High School and Kaw Valley Technical School where he was certified as a welder.  He worked for Topeka Metal Specialties for most of his career.  His enjoyed fishing and boating, particularly at Osage State Lake.  He also enjoyed gardening and loved his beer and the Beatles.

William Jon Randol 57, passed away on Wednesday February 24th, 2021, at Stormont Vail hospital in Topeka Kansas.  
 
Bill was born in Topeka Kansas on December 15, 1963.
 
Bill joined the United States Air Force In Sept 1985. he served 7 years.
 
Bill attended Washburn University, to become a Certified Dietary Manager. Bill worked at several health care facilities until he became ill.
 
Survivors include his wife Terry Sue (Clark) Randol, and his fur babies Johnny, Becky, Snickers, and Skittles. and his mother Barbara Kay Randol and his nieces.
 
Bill is proceed in death by his father Clyde Randol Jr, and sisters Kelly and Kathy, and his long term fur babies Lightning and Jake.
 
Bill loved to go camping and fishing, he also enjoyed remodeling his home and his mother home.

Magdalena 'Maggie' Kruger

Magdalena ‘Maggie’ (Potgieter) Kruger passed away on February  24, 2021 at the age of 91 in Auburn, Kansas. She was born on April 9, 1929, in East London, South Africa.

Maggie was a direct descendant of Harmen Jansz Potgieter who was one of the very first immigrants from Europe to South Africa. He was a resident of Nordhorn, Grafschaft Bentheim, Germany and arrived in South Africa in 1670. His wife, Isabella Fredericks, was from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Maggie was the second of five children born to Petrus Hendrik Potgieter and Anna Sophia Stevens. Her older brother Peter lives in Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa and her youngest brother Eric still lives in East London, Easter Cape, South Africa. Her deceased brother, Alan, was living in Bloemfontein, South Africa, at the time of his death. A fourth sibling, Anna, died shortly after birth.

When Maggie was a young girl, her parents joined the Seventh-day Adventist church and she remained a faithful member and dedicated Christian until her death. She attended Girls High School (Clarendon High School) in East London and after leaving school, she began working as a seamstress. This became a life-long passion and many of the wealthy people of East London were her customers. She ran her business from home enabling her to be with the five children she raised while her husband, George, was gone most of the week working as a commercial representative.

Yvonne Marilyn Dodd passed away peacefully with her family at her side on February 19, 2021 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas after a courageous battle against an unexpected, aggressive case of cancer.

Yvonne was born on February 10, 1938 in Crookston, Minnesota to Albert and Ann (Nomland) Hince. Yvonne married Richard Herman Dodd on December 26, 1956 and they shared 64 happy and prosperous years of marriage together. Yvonne was preceded in death by her loving son Randal in December 2008 and is survived by her husband, daughter, 6 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren.

After moving from Minnesota in her primary school years, Yvonne grew up on the sandy beaches of California. While always a Cali girl at heart, Yvonne & Richard moved to Great Bend, Kansas in 1970 to raise their family until they landed at their dream home on 60 acres on a farm outside Springfield, Missouri in 1978.

Vicki Lynn Nelson (Mullin), age 69, of Mayetta, ks. Passed away Feb. 9,2021 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, ks, with family present. Vicki was born April 24, 1951 in Topeka to Robert and Elsie (Randall) Mullin. Vicki, second of six children, was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Robert Mullin Jr and John Mullin. Survived by her daughter Tamara Nelson and son Robert Nelson lll, both of Topeka, ks. A grand daughter Jena Hazelton and a great grand daughter Jennifer Mathis. A sister Betty Hainline, Hoyt, ks. Two brothers, William Mullin ( unknown) and Richard Mullin, St.Joseph, mo. And many nieces and nephews, one great niece and great nephews.
