Donna Lisa Villalobos, 53, passed away on September 25, 2020, in Topeka. She was born July 19, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Don and Grace Villalobos. She graduated from Topeka High school in 1985. She attended Washburn University. Donna worked for several local employers before she began her career with the railroad. First with BNSF Railroad in Topeka then with CSX Railroad in Jacksonville, Florida. After 20 years with the Railroad Donna was forced to leave her job due to health issues. Donna made so many great friends through her work and while living in Florida. She was so sweet, kind and generous to everyone she met. Always so positive even during the toughest of times. Donna loved gathering with friends, family reunions, dining out, collecting and sharing recipes, playing board games and shopping online. Donna never had children of her own but really loved kids. Often showering the neighborhood children with gifts and treats on birthdays and holidays.

August 21, 1966 - September 28, 2020
Todd R. Swenson passed away Sept. 28, 2020 in Salina, KS at the age of 54. He was born August 21, 1966 in Minneapolis, MN. He is survived by his siblings: Mark Swenson, Dauna Swenson Howerton, Sara Anderson, Amy Arce, and his many nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by his parents: Daune and Marjorie Swenson and brother Bruce Swenson. Todd spent most of his adult life as a construction worker. His charm and wit touched many lives. Cremation was chosen, the memorial service will be at a future date. Please direct memorial contributions in his name towards the Central Kansas Foundation 677 E. Donald Duane Nixon passed away at his home in Eskridge Kansas on Sept 22, 2020.He was born on May 26,1950 to Charles and Marjorie Nixon in Zeandale Kansas. Donald attended Zeandale school until 8th grade. He then went to Wamego High school and graduated in 1969. Donald then joined the United States Air Force. While enlisted he was a mechanic. Donald liked collecting Eagles, Knives, and Angels. He was very Loving, Gentle, and Kind. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back.

Carl Corona, 71, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was born on December 7, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Carl graduated from Highland Park High School, Class of 1966. Carl was very much involved with the local music community in the 1960’s, 70’, and 80’s. He was a drummer for several bands and performed with future members of the Kansas rock group. He was always proud of these associations and had many friends in the music field. Carl spent most of his career working for the State of Kansas (42 Years). He retired from the Department of Labor in 2009.
Carl spent much of his time after retirement managing booths in secondhand shops and enjoying his pets. To supply his booths, he and Ellen were avid shoppers and “pickers” at antique stores, estate sales, and garage sales. He also loved caring for his dogs (Spike and Spirit), cat (Cruiser), and numerous fish. A special passion in his life was his restored 1970 Plymouth Belvedere with which he was always tinkering.

William H. Gower, Jr., age 88, of Topeka, passed away September 15, 2020.
He was born to William and Rosetta Gower on January 18, 1932. He married Eleanore Sherman on January 10, 1964. She predeceased him in 2018. He is survived by daughter Kim Robinett, sons Brad (Shelley) and Jeff, and three grandchildren Lexus, Reilly and Parker.

Sharon Sue “Ireland” Corber Link, 69, passed away unexpected on Sept 4, 2020 while preparing to say her final goodbye at the hospital to her daughter Crystal Corber. They both passed the same day. Sharon was born to Frank Ireland and Katherine Sparks on September 26, 1950. She leaves behind a daughter Shannon Corber, grandchildren Layla Michaels, Ashten Corber-Grimmet and Brooklyn Corber and many nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1968. She married Billy Corber May 25, 1974. They had 2 children Shannon and Crystal. He passed away March of 1980. She had worked in Quality Control at Frito Lay. She married Bill Link and they later divorced.
She is also survived by 3 siblings, Linda Cornelison, Topeka, Judy Ireland, Grants Pass, Oregon and Scooter Bradley (Barb), Osage City. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dennis Schmitt (1941-2020)
Dennis Edward Schmitt, 79, Perry, died peacefully September 6 th , 2020 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. Funeral services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
Dennis was born to Edward Schmitt and Bernette (Bourelle) Schmitt March 8 th , 1941 in Woodstock, Illinois. Dennis spent his youth in the Northeastern Illinois area until the family moved to Lawrence, Kansas in the 1960’s. There he met Carla Brooks and they were married May 21 st , 1965. She proceeded him in death last year. Together they had a son, Doug who is the Fire Chief of Soldier Township in Topeka.

Terry Lee Stilson, 72, died August 24, 2020. His parents, Ralph and Ruth (Cross) Stilson are deceased. His wife, Connie (Norwood) Stilson (m.12/14/1974) survives. Their children are John Robert Norwood Stilson, Tara Lee (Stilson) Lyman (deceased) and Zachary Lee Stilson. His brother, Mickey (Evelyn) also survives. He had two nieces, Amy and Julie. Terry enjoyed four grandchildren, Helene RedOwl, Trent Lyman, Nicholas Lyman and Sadye Stilson. Terry retired from Washburn University Bookstore in 2010 after 25 years of service. Terry wanted cremation and no services.
