Lawrence (Larry) G. Parrett- 52 of Hoyt, Kansas passed away at his home surrounded by his family on August 12th, 2020 after a long battle with small cell lung cancer.
He is survived by his wife Becky (Baker) Parrett, 1 daughter Tiffany (Parrett) Jones (Patrick) of Topeka, Kansas, 1 son Levi Parrett of the home, and 1 bonus daughter Jamie Burnett of Alburn, California. His Parents Ken and Carol Parrett of Hoyt, Kansas, 1 brother Kevin Parrett (Dana) of Topeka, Kansas, 3 sisters Kim Pryer (Jim) of Topeka, Kansas, Tammy Andrews (Kent) of Fort Lupton, Colorado, and Mary Currigan (Jim) of Phoenix, Arizona. As well as, 3 grandchildren Brayden, Aiden, Amayiah, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles.

Donna Ruth Bredow, age 88, of Wakarusa, KS passed away on Sunday August 9, 2020 at home.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Auburn Community Center, 121 W. 11 th St. Auburn, KS on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10am.

Burial will immediately follow at the Wakarusa Cemetery, in Wakarusa, KS.

Donna was born at her childhood home near Alma, KS to Millard and Ruth (Brabb) Horne on June 13, 1932. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Topeka KS. She graduated from Alta Vista High School in Alta Vista, KS in 1950. She attended Kansas State University from 1951- 52 majoring in Home Economics, and was a member of Sigma Eta Chi Sorority, Lutheran Student Association, and Home Economics Club.

On February 23, 1952 she married William “Bill” A. Bredow in Los Angeles, CA where he was stationed in the Marine Corp. She worked at Pennant in Topeka KS for several months, and later, for nearly twenty years, as a line cook at Pauline South and Pauline Central elementary schools. For many years she was a devoted stay-at-home Mom where she helped raise their four children. They later lived in Valparaiso, Indiana (where eldest daughter, Rebecca (Heidrick), and son, Jonathan, were born), Tijeras, New Mexico (where daughter, Vikki (Noble), was born), Alma, Kansas (where youngest daughter, Stephanie (Moeller), was born), and then lived in Wakarusa, Kansas from 1965-2020.

March 02, 1946 - August 05, 2020

Ronald (CORKY) Arthur Ewing , 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Topeka on 3-2-1946  He is survived by his beautiful wife of 52 years Diane Kay (Smith) Ewing, and his children Kim and Everett Horn, Ron and Melodie Ewing, Corki and Brian Spurgeon, Troy and Amy Ewing, and Matt and Jennifer Ewing, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.           
Ron was a pastor at Disciples of Faith Church for the past 23 years.  He had many passions but his family always came first.  IHOP lost a loyal customer and friend.  He will be greatly missed.

Luther Warren “Doc” Dunaway passed Peacefully in his sleep ,with his wife by his side in Topeka, July 20, 2020. He was 88.

Born the son of Luther K. Dunaway and Geneva M Wilmoth on June 20, 1932 in Edna , Ks

1950 LW graduate from Herrington high school. Went on to graduate from Kansas State University with a Degree in veterinary medicine .LW started is career treating large animal , Considering he spent most of his time growing up on the farm.

Wasn’t long before Doc opened up Brookwood animal clinic.and practiced there 23 years .

1951 L W Married Pat Morgan , they had four children together son Steve Dunaway ( Susie) Overland Park daughters terry sheik ( bill) Jan delimont (William )Oregon and Son Philip Who preceded him in death at 9 yrs old. Lw and Pat later divorced

1966 L W married Carolyn sue fink Had two sons Jeff (Tami);Topeka )and Luther Michael, ( deceased), 10 grandchildren Cory ,Kelsey ,Trent Jamie ,Kelly, Patrick ,Thomas ,River Nichole,Marshal and 13 great grand children.

Peggy Sue (Anderson) Lang, 62, passed away July 15, 2020.  She was born to Milo Gene Baldree and Nancy Bromley on July 31, 1957 in Jackson Michigan. Her family moved to Kansas where she attended schools in Lawrence, KS. She later moved to Topeka, Kansas where she birthed her daughter Shannon Miller (Travis) who survives her death. Other survivors include her sister Laurie Streit of Kansas, her brother David Rinke of Kansas, one niece of Kansas, one niece in North Carolina, and two nieces in Georgia. She has grandchildren whom she loves dearly in Topeka, Lyndon, and Oklahoma.  She spent a number of years living in Lyndon, KS and had many family members there as well along with family in Michigan and Oklahoma.  She spent a number of years living in Lyndon, KS and had many family members there as well.  She recently moved back to Topeka, KS and was starting a new journey for herself.  Preceding her in death, was her two parents Milo Gene Baldree and Nancy Bromley. As well as her sister Linda Anderson of North Carolina. She has grandchildren whom she loves dearly in Topeka, Lyndon, and Oklahoma. 

Peggy always considered her close friends her family.  Dan and Lori are 2 special friends that spent quality time with her in her final days. It was evident throughout her life that Peggy had an avid love for animals, specifically her dogs. She cared deeply for her pets and saw them as her companions.  One of the activities she enjoyed the most was reading.  She always preferred to be outdoors and when she was unable to be outside she enjoyed listening to music, sewing, and cooking.  Those of us who knew Peggy, knew she had a sweet tooth. She ended countless nights with a bowl of cake and ice cream and she was not opposed to starting her day with sweets for breakfast. She was also a free spirit and often had moments of dancing like no one was watching. Her journey has been filled with hard knocks, but God knows who his strongest fighters are and he never gives up on them.  

In her final day, of her 365 Daily Devotional, Jesus Calling the page book marked states - Keep Walking with Me along the path I have chosen for you.  Your desire to live close to Me is a delight to My heart.  I could instantly grant you the spiritual riches you desire, but that is not My way for you.  Together we will  forge a pathway up the mountain.  The journey is arduous at times, and you are weak.  Someday you will dance light-footed on the high peaks; but for now, your walk is often plodding and heavy.  All I require of you is to take the next step, clinging to My hand for strength and direction.  Though the path is difficult and the scenery dull at the moment, there are sparkling surprises just around the bend.  Stay on the path I have selected for you.  It is truly the path of Life.  

You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. -Psalm 16:11 NKJV

In honoring Peggy’s request a cremation took place and was handled by Angels Above Cremation Services.

James (Jimbo) Franklin Belsher, Jr. entered in to resting free of pain on July 6, 2020 at St Francis hospital in Topeka, Kansas. Jimbo was born on October 28, 1978 to James Belsher, Sr and Debbie (Trusty) Belsher at Stormont Vail hospital in Topeka.
