Magdalena ‘Maggie’ (Potgieter) Kruger passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 91 in Auburn, Kansas. She was born on April 9, 1929, in East London, South Africa.
Maggie was a direct descendant of Harmen Jansz Potgieter who was one of the very first immigrants from Europe to South Africa. He was a resident of Nordhorn, Grafschaft Bentheim, Germany and arrived in South Africa in 1670. His wife, Isabella Fredericks, was from Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Maggie was the second of five children born to Petrus Hendrik Potgieter and Anna Sophia Stevens. Her older brother Peter lives in Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa and her youngest brother Eric still lives in East London, Easter Cape, South Africa. Her deceased brother, Alan, was living in Bloemfontein, South Africa, at the time of his death. A fourth sibling, Anna, died shortly after birth.
When Maggie was a young girl, her parents joined the Seventh-day Adventist church and she remained a faithful member and dedicated Christian until her death. She attended Girls High School (Clarendon High School) in East London and after leaving school, she began working as a seamstress. This became a life-long passion and many of the wealthy people of East London were her customers. She ran her business from home enabling her to be with the five children she raised while her husband, George, was gone most of the week working as a commercial representative.
February 10, 1938 - February 19, 2021
Yvonne Marilyn Dodd passed away peacefully with her family at her side on February 19, 2021 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas after a courageous battle against an unexpected, aggressive case of cancer.
Yvonne was born on February 10, 1938 in Crookston, Minnesota to Albert and Ann (Nomland) Hince. Yvonne married Richard Herman Dodd on December 26, 1956 and they shared 64 happy and prosperous years of marriage together. Yvonne was preceded in death by her loving son Randal in December 2008 and is survived by her husband, daughter, 6 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren.
After moving from Minnesota in her primary school years, Yvonne grew up on the sandy beaches of California. While always a Cali girl at heart, Yvonne & Richard moved to Great Bend, Kansas in 1970 to raise their family until they landed at their dream home on 60 acres on a farm outside Springfield, Missouri in 1978.

Vicki Lynn Nelson (Mullin), age 69, of Mayetta, ks. Passed away Feb. 9,2021 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, ks, with family present. Vicki was born April 24, 1951 in Topeka to Robert and Elsie (Randall) Mullin. Vicki, second of six children, was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Robert Mullin Jr and John Mullin. Survived by her daughter Tamara Nelson and son Robert Nelson lll, both of Topeka, ks. A grand daughter Jena Hazelton and a great grand daughter Jennifer Mathis. A sister Betty Hainline, Hoyt, ks. Two brothers, William Mullin ( unknown) and Richard Mullin, St.Joseph, mo. And many nieces and nephews, one great niece and great nephews.

Ellen Louise Osburn passed away at Topeka Center for Rehab and Health on February 16, 2021.
She is survived by her Son James Todd and Wife Julie of Lawrence, KS, Son Joseph Haynes of Topeka, KS, three grandchildren Jaziyah, Lisa, and Zaraia Todd. Four brothers Bobby (Della) Osburn of Lawrence, KS, James (Nita) Osburn of Lawrence, KS, Jesse (Christy) Osburn of Leeton, MO, Ira Osburn of Leeton, MO, One sister Emma Osburn of Windsor, MO along with many Nieces and Nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents James and Barbara Osburn, Brother Alvis Keithen Osburn, Nephew Christian Osburn, and Niece Bonnie May Osburn.
Ellen will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Cremation is planned with a Celebration of Her Life to be held at a later date.

David Lee Miller, 79, of Topeka, passed away February 7, 2021 from cancer surrounded by his loving family.
David was born on November 4 th , 1941 to Marjorie (Adams) and Larry Miller in Murfreesboro, TN. After graduating from Highland Park High School in 1959, he went on to earn his BA in Business from Baker University in 1963. He continued his education earning his law degree in 1969 from St. Mary’s University Law School in San Antonio, TX. David also served as a Captain in the Air Force from August 1963 to June 1969. He practiced law in Topeka, receiving his 50 year pin and certificate. He retired in 2019.
He married TondraAnn Smith on June 5 th , 1974. Between the two of them they have four children--Scott, Christopher, Kelley and Jonathan. David was active in the Topeka community serving as a member of the Kansas Bar Association, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Robert (Bobby) William Cooley
1957 - 2021
Bobby was born on November 24, 1957 in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri, to Leola (TenEyck) and William (Bill) Cooley. He passed away on January 25, 2021. Bobby lived most of his life in Topeka.
He enjoyed playing cards and board games. He loved going to the casino. He had a passion for cooking. But his favorite thing was to enjoy eating food especially desserts.
Bobby was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tabitha Cooley; his oldest sister, Shirley Phillips; and his parents, Leola and Bill Cooley.
Bobby is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Chris) Hunninghake and Kayla (Nick) Carboni. He was very proud of his grandsons, Logan, Brody, Connor and Slade. He has three sisters, Mary Jo Orester, Linda (Jim) Soules and Carol Cooley; two brothers, Richard (Nancy Griffith) and Dennis (Jackie) Cooley. Plus, many nieces and nephews.
Cremation is planned with A Celebration of His Life to be held at a later date.

Pam “ Grannymac “ Wilson passed away on January 19, 2021 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka Ks. She passed away peacefully after a long fought battle with COPD. Grannymac was born on June 6, 1945 in Emporia. She is survived by Her loving husband Richard Wilson, Daughter Debbie Hewitt, her brother Ron Stinson and his wife, Sue Stinson. Also her son John Brill and her younger daughter Dawn Brill. Also grandson Jonathan Hewitt and his wife Kimber and great granddaughters , Lilyann and Daisylynn. Also by her extended adopted family, Jennifer Zweifel, Danielle Reavis-Beasterfeld, Brad Beasterfeld , Cody Reavis, Emily Zweifel, Emmett and Bryson Beasterfeld. She was proceeded in death by her dad Ner Stinson and her mom Jean Stinson and her sister Debbie Stinson. Pam had worked at Modern Office Methods in Topeka as a dispatcher, she also worked in many fast food places as a manager. Pam loved to sew and make clothes for all her family and friends. She also liked watching many sports on TV, especially any kind of football. She loved going to Bobos, IHOP, Perkins and Porubskys. Grannymac will be missed by many people and was loved so much. Heaven has another Angel. God please take care of her.
