Paul Lamar Beck

Paul age 65, was born in Ft. Bragg, NC on March 14, 1956 and passed on to his Savior in heaven on September 12, 2021 in Topeka, Kansas.

Paul Lamar Beck was the son of Paul Estes Beck(deceased) and Dorie Bell Beck (deceased) and step mom, Mildred Cedonia Beck (deceased). He had a brother, John Durwood Beck also deceased. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Lynnett Beck, sons, Paul Beck, Jr., Michael Beck (Erica), Jared Beck (Victoria), daughter, Nickol Gould ( Jeremy) and sharing his love for Lynnett’s children, Emiliano Nunez, Dominic Nunez, Maria Nunez, 7 grandchildren, brothers Carlton Fountain, Robert Beck (Kathy), sisters, Delores Forringer (Robert), Charlotte Hooks (Thomas), Kay Gabler (Randall), Sara Smith and Rita Smith.

Paul graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News, VA in 1974. He went to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Spring, CO where he studied Mechanical Engineering. He was active in the AF Academy Choir and sports, starting an AF Lacrosse team. He graduated in 1978. Paul received his commission as rank of Captain, flew C141 cargo planes around the world. He then returned to the AF academy and taught cadets to fly. He served 8 years.

Steve Nutter

Stephen "Steve" Leon Nutter 63, passed away August 3, 2021, from complications of COVID, at his Sedan, Kansas home.  Born June 16, 1958, at Coffeyville Hospital to Gary and Beverly (Wade) Nutter.

Steve spent his formative years in Chautauqua & Montgomery Counties Kansas.  His teenage years in Parsons, Ks.  He graduated Parsons High School in 1976 and Emporia State University in 1978.  His early career was spent working in Emporia, Ks before his move to Topeka, Ks.  He dedicated 35 years to working in the beverage industry for Jayhawk and Crown Distribution.

Family and friends looked forward to his culinary masterpieces on his Traeger grill.  Steve enjoyed baseball, fishing, golf tournaments, Chiefs football, KC Royals, KU Jayhawks, and showing up his brothers David and Billy at poker on holidays.  He married Marilyn Lentz December 11, 2002 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Steve was a loving patient Dad to Kristen, Natalie & Johna.  And able to tolerate anything his wife Marilyn sent his way.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gary & Bev (Wade) Nutter and infant daughter Kimberly.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Lentz.  Daughters Kristen (Dave) Duncan, Natalie (Troy) Pearson, and Johna Lentz.  Precious grandsons Dillon & Kyle Duncan.  Brothers Dave (Ann) Nutter, and Billy (Lorie) Nutter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 18, 2021, 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Sherwood Lake Club House 6910 SW Fountaindale Topeka, Ks 66614.  Interment will be at a later date at Peru Cemetery Peru, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be sent to Sedan High School Baseball, 416 East Elm Sedan, Kansas 67361.

January 06, 1950 - September 04, 2021

John Ronald (Ron) Miller, of Topeka Kansas, passed away on September 4^th, 2021 at the age of 71. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, and papa who loved most being around his family. Ron was born to Jeff Paul Miller and Agnes Theresa (Stremel) Miller on January 6^th, 1950 in Topeka Kansas where he grew up with his two brothers, Darrell, and Daniel (Danny) Miller and two sisters, Barbara (Barb) (Miller) Haines, Annette (Miller) Page. He attended Hayden High School where he graduated in 1968. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washburn University in 1975, and Master of Administration of Justice from Wichita State University in 1979. He began his career with the State of Kansas in 1975, working in four state agencies: Kansas Department of Corrections, Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services and Division of Children and Family Services), Kansas Juvenile Justice Authority, and Kansas Department of Health and Environment. He retired in 2005 with 30 years of service. Also, during his career, he took on some additional part time positions as an Adjunct Instructor of Drug Abuse and Criminality and Research Assistant at Washburn University, certified drivers ed instructor for Topeka Driving School, unit coordinator therapist for Community Addictive Treatment Center, week-end counselor for Mirror Inc., and job coach with Job Readiness Training Program. Post retirement from the State, Ron was a school bus driver for Shawnee Heights School District and park attendant for United States Corps of Engineers at Lake Melvern and Lake Perry.
