Amy L. Bounous, age 46 of Wichita, met Jesus on October  9, 2021

Amy was born in Wichita Kansas to Bruce and Anna Bounous. Amy lived in Wichita most of her life where she provided excellent customer service at ADT, Protection One, and St Francis Hospital and made many lifelong friends.  She graduated High School in 1994 at Northeast Magnet in Wichita. Amy had a heart for rescue animals, especially her dog Diamond. She looked forward to weekly dinners with Uncle Joel who took care of Diamond when needed. She fell in love with the Ocean while on a cruise and was planning a return trip. But her favorite place to visit was the zoo alongside her mother who remembers many wonderful trips to the Wichita, Topeka, Oklahoma and Omaha Zoos.

Amy was preceded in death by her father Bruce Bounous.  She is survived by her Mother Anna Bounous, Brother Evan (Sheri) Bounous, her Nephew Sean and Niece Julianne, six uncles, two aunts, and many special cousins.

Clarice Anne Miner, 75, of Topeka, Kansas, died Friday, October 22, 2021, with her family by her side following an extended illness.

Clarice Gunderson was born February 2, 1946, in Topeka, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Robinson) Gunderson. Her parents divorced soon after her birth, and she was raised by her mother and stepfather.

After graduation from high school, Clarice worked in a variety of jobs primarily in the Topeka area, and retired from Jostens Printing and Publishing in Topeka after 23 years of service.

Clarice enjoyed reading, sewing, baking and tending to her roses. Her greatest joy was in giving and receiving hugs from loved ones, especially her son and grandchildren.

She married William Pitts; they were later divorced. Clarice then married Larry Miner in 1984; he survives of the home.

Clarice also leaves behind her treasured son, Aaron (Tracy) Gunderson, Topeka; her grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Alison, Olivia, Garrett, Jake, Grace and Noah; her sisters, Lorelei Godfrey, Australia; Genevieve Besenyi, Pennsylvania; Wendy (Ken) Zeller, Paxico; as well as a dear sister-in-law and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Cremation is planned, with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date.

November 09, 1976 - October 23, 2021

Born November 9, 1976 in Kansas City, Kansas. Escaped this world October 23, 2021 near Topeka, Kansas.

She is survived by her father Larry, brother Casey and his family, several aunts and uncles, several cousins, and many many friends.

After graduation she worked at several occupations from coast to coast before settling in Topeka. 

The last several years she battled many medical issues which finally led to her decision to enter Hospice care until her death. Her ashes, per her request, will be spread at Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

Her suffering has ended and she is at peace with her maker. We love and miss her.

October 26, 1956 - October 14, 2021

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, Lawrence “Jim” Christian, passed away at the age of 64.

Jim was born on October 26, 1956 in Topeka, KS to Lawrence and Betty Christian. Jim lived most of his life in Topeka or surrounding areas. Jim worked many different trades throughout the years, with his most recent being Gardner’s Flooring America (1993 to 2010) and Menards (2012 to 2020).

Jim was passionate about family, hotrods, racing, pool, collecting treasures and several other things. Jim never knew a stranger, matter of fact we think he knew everyone. Whether it was someone he worked with or used to hang out with as a kid, he was always chatting away. Jim had a way to tell stories from his younger days. Some should have been shared and some shouldn’t have, but everyone would sit and listen wondering what was happening next. He loved racing dirt track with his son, AJ. He would go out and putt around the track like a Sunday drive and come back to the pits like he just won, smiling ear to ear (most of the time). He enjoyed pool league with his family, where he made a lot of new friendships some he even called family.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence D. “Larry” Christian and mother, Betty Frandle Christian Persing.
